March 4th night Cinco got left on the shelf last night. Looks like it's his new playground. I though she mistakenly left him there after she ate but she maybe did it on purpose as she looked at him later but didn't come get him.
I waited till he tired out and quit playing then I put him back in the hammock with Aurora.
I guess Aurora needed a break or expected him to climb in on his own. When I put him back he went right to nursing. He got left a couple more times too but once she came back and he got on and the last time she asked me to get him for her. She couldn't get him to climb back on when she visited the clothes basket so left him but then complained till I put him back in the hammock with her.
He got off her on an earlier trip down to the food. I played with him and left him there a bit before putting him back in the hammock with Aurora and he went right to nursing then. PS the hissing and other sounds were Aurora and her tummy digesting her meal. Baby never made any noise.

Baby ignored by momma tamandua I guess Aurora needed a break or expected him to climb in on his own. I put him back in the hammock later and he went right to nursing. Verification now that he was out alone in the light. He's just shaped different than the others I've had but then they all have been.
Eldorado's looked like half a banana and Stewie's was like a pyramid. Mandua's was somewhere in between.
March Second Aurora began a search for a bigger nest for her growing baby.

Aurora spent some time napping on the window shelf. Pua seized her chance and headed up into the closet. Cinco wasn't there though he was firmly attached to mom's butt. Aurora heard her in the closet and came to chase Pua off. In a panic Pua flipped upside down on the bar between the two closet shelves but managed to make it down unscathed. Aurora then returned to the nest to re-stake her claim.
March 3rd Pua crossed the boundary and went on the window shelf again. Aurora chased her off but taught her a lesson this time by pinching her tail. Pua panicked and fell from the edge but managed to hold on upside down then pull back up. Aurora stood back and let her get up and leave. Pua is moping on the cage top now. Later, Aurora found her larger nest. She moved into the hammock above the cage. She was begging for food on cage with no baby and no baby in her nest then I saw the hammock move. Thought baby was lost for a moment. They are sleeping there now.

She was used to just stepping half out of the closet nest to eat and kept hanging out of the hammock to try and eat.

Pua's new tray
In a shocking turn of events Pua decided the pee pad on her new eating tray is a good place to have her wake up pee. LoL. Will have to change that before I put her food out.So far she just did it the one night.
Aurora staged a castle coup the 27th. She scaled the castle and attacked Pua while she was sleeping in the hammock. I think she was exploring and got startled by Pua being there. Cinco kept getting smooshed between her butt and the wall. Eventually Pua found an escape route and went to play with her log and eat but Aurora kept hissing and growling at her.
Pua went to sniff the window and hide out on the desk, came to snuggle with me for support but decided I was not a comfy bed.
Aurora kept up the ruckus and attacked the food bowl when offered. I was also worried if left there all night Cinco might eventually fall off the platform as he is a lot more active, though at the time he looked very sleepy. So I wrestled her down and put her back in the closet. Where she has stayed.
I might have left them to work it out if there wasn't a baby involved. She may have been looking for a nesting area with more space but there are no barriers around the tower's edge and she was too worked up.

No injuries. The initial "fight" was through the hammock since Pua was inside. With patience and a blanket I got her down. Generally grabbing the arms works so they can't pinch you once you have hold. That wasn't working so well though so I slowly pulled her down to the next level by her tail. Then work her off each level of the shelves there. She decided to walk back to the closet herself after that. Once in the closet she couldn't remember how to climb up so I lifted her part way.
Later, Pua's being in heat has made her friendlier. Aurora came to the ground because her food wasn't cold enough and she was looking for the good stuff. Pua came over and said hi from up on the chair and wanted to come down but A stood claws out & growled.Pua then curled up to look nonthreatening but A wasn't buying it and after telling her off some more went back up the closet to stand guard over baby. Getting a taste of her own medicine. Everyone did similar to try and befriend her before.
He tries to go explore the rest of the platform and gets shoved back which turns into play fight then some finger poking.
Pua being intimidated by Aurora and baby Pua has been chased off enough times she leaves at just hearing Aurora move. Aurora took longer than normal to come a she collected Cinco first this time. She didn't even bother growling since Pua always runs off.

Aw so cute but can't get a good angle for a photo. Gave Aurora fresh food and she came to eat Cinco peeking between her arms then he decided to eat to and rolled under her suckling while she stood there eating.
March 1st I went to check on Cinco while mom went to poop and he played with me. Yay.

Getting to know each other. Aurora normally chases Pua off the shelf but Pua didn't get that far this time.
My anteaters starting to get to know each other. It ended in a truce of them both napping for awhile.
Then in the morning Aurora tried to lay claim to the fridge. She stood atop it arms out in the "I am king kong" stance bellowing. I returned her to the closet and gave her cold food and she was happy.
